When he was 12 his family moved to Sao Vicente. He has been envolved with music since he was 14 when he started singing at a festival(Praia de Cruz) in Boa Vista, and attended different cultural happenings and television in Sao Vicente, before moving to Norway in 1995. In 1999 he released his first album, Ka bo bayembora, and since then he has been playing concerts in Europe. In Norway he has played at venues in Oslo, Sarpsborg, Drammen, Arendal and Bjørkelangen, in France: Paris, in Sweden: Gothenburg, in the Netherland: Rotterdam, in Italy: Rome and Napoli, in Cape Verde: Oasis and Mazurca Boavista and Tradisson&Morabeza S.Vicente . As a Cape verdean musician/singer he mainly plays traditional music from Cape Verde; Coladera, Morna, Batuque, Funana and Tabanca. His secound album Abraco Tradicional, is released in november 2008.
